About the Association

The North American Tango Association is a nonprofit we're forming to help Argentine tango grow across the US, Canada and Mexico. It's volunteer-run and volunteer-led.

How it's run

• An independent board from across the continent, so no one person, studio, city or region can steer it.
• A written conflict-of-interest policy from day one. Board members' own studios and events get no special treatment in the directory or in any program.
• We don't sponsor competitions. They're listed in the directory like any other event.

Where we are

We're a nonprofit in formation. A founding board is coming together now, and our first project, Tango Near Me, is already live. Next come incorporation, our bylaws and our first programs.
